How to cause unintentional torture

With one hand holding a paper towel pressed firmly against my face, the other hand types into my away message:

half my face is bleeding, i hate shaving, i hate it hate it hate it soo goddarn much. shaving cream sucks butt.

My face doesn't like a sharp blade against it. Either that or after 10 years I haven't quite mastered the skill of removing hair with a dangerous weapon. If a razor is used more than a few days, it's going to make me bleed. Oddly, though, it seems that shaving without looking in the mirror and without shaving cream - I seem to prefer soap - seems to cause less damage than looking in the mirror with shaving cream.

Such was today... I decided to shave after my shower (so I could get out quicker and catch the end of a Star Trek: TNG episode I've seen a half dozen times), with shaving cream, looking into the mirror. I ended up with at least a dozen little cuts. These on top of the couple from yesterday doing it my normal way.

I do not want to pay a bunch of money for an electric that doesn't work... the cheap one I have doesn't work already. If I could pull them all out with tweezers I would.

If you have any advice let me know. I seem to need help.

How to redesign your blog layout

After I realized my power to alter some of the other settings in my template, it was clear I had to do something else to make "Green Choopy" more like the webpage I had hoped it would be. It's closer; it's not what I had imagined, but tolerable until the next impulse to change. Here I am spending more time trying to perfect my blog look than the content on it. Seems typical of me. Why look the same as everyone else when orginality is wihin my grasp? Everyone writes the same old garbage, but no one is trying to make their blog look good!

Keep experimenting people. You can always start over. Not always so in life, so take the opportunity to do so when you can.

How to write in paragraph form

The reality of the blogging world makes writing my thoughts down as lesson plans very limiting. On the downside, it doesn't emphasize the "concoctions" aspect of the blog as much. On the upside, maybe not having to wait for something procedural in life to happen will get me writing a little bit more. That's always a good thing.

Recently I had the opportunity to create a new poster that got plastered over the University of Illinois, my Alma Mater. It was up on bulletin boards in buildings, out on the street, and handed out to students (however I found them in garbage cans after students had discarded them). Nevertheless, it's good to see my work viewed by many people. The website for the organization that needed the flyer is one I do as well, and that's had a good deal of traffic as the advertised event came near. I still wish I had better technology to do websites and publications!

Here is the poster I made. It's inspired by Mondrian. I'll be putting it up on RDT soon.
